Soon to be “Dr. Herpoldt”, she has been researching new ways of detecting HIV. Karla received her Masters in Physics from the University of Oxford and credits Dr. David Hackleman (NYSC 1969, multi-year Staph and annual presenter at NYSC) in his lecture sharing the perspective of his career, being able to follow your path finding the next interesting problem and not to feel trapped into one specialty over the course of one’s career.
This is a special annual event for Parliament as it gives them the opportunity to interact with a group of the countries best young researchers. Karla may be joining us on the 2015 NYSC staph. . .lucky delegates. . .
